Data Science/GIS workshop series is powered by GIS and Data Service Center, and Research Education at University Libraries. This workshop series offers introductory to advanced-level skills in GIS, Data Science, Data Visualization among others.

In this workshop, we will introduce data analysis with Python. We will use Pandas libraries to read, analyze, pivot, and plot tabular datasets. We will also aim to briefly discuss the NumPy library for vector algebra operations, and the Seaborn library for data visualization. This is meant to be an introduction to the data analysis suite used in data science projects in Python. While this workshop is open to all, attendees to recommended to have a prior beginner-level understanding of Python.

Attendees are expected to bring their own laptops with Python installed. The instructions to install Python will be shared via email with registrants.
