Introduction to Python

Data Science/GIS workshop series is powered by GIS and Data Service Center, and Research Education at University Libraries. This workshop series offers introductory to advanced level skills in GIS, Data Science, Data Visualization among others.

Python is a high-level programming language used for solving range of problems from machine learning to web development. In this workshop, we will introduce participants to python programming from installation, to getting started with Jupyter notebook and syntax understanding. This workshop is for those who have never used python programming before or are unfamiliar with the programming.

Attendees are expected to bring their own laptops with Python installed. The instructions to install Python will be shared via email with registrants.
