Data Wrangling with Python

Research Education at University Libraries workshops equip researchers with the tools, concepts, and skills needed for every stage of the research lifecycle. The Data Science/GIS workshop series is powered by the GIS and Data Service Center. This workshop series offers introductory to advanced-level skills in GIS, Data Science, and Data Visualization among others.

In this workshop, we will introduce data analysis with Python. We will use Pandas libraries to read, analyze, pivot, and plot tabular datasets. We will also aim to briefly discuss the NumPy library for vector algebra operations, and the Seaborn library for data visualization. This is meant to be an introduction to the data analysis suite used in data science projects in Python. Please note, we require attendees to have a prior beginner-level understanding of Python.
