Introduction to R - R Basics

Research Education at University Libraries workshops equip researchers with the tools, concepts, and skills needed for every stage of the research lifecycle.The Data Science/GIS workshop series is powered by the GIS and Data Service Center. This workshop series offers introductory to advanced-level skills in GIS, Data Science, and Data Visualization among others.

R is an extremely powerful, versatile, and best of all FREE statistical package that runs on Windows, Macintosh and Unix platforms. Join this workshop and gain hands-on experience on learning R! It is okay if you do not have programming experience. This workshop will cover:

  • An overall introduction to R
  • Basic mathematical functions
  • Summary statistics and summary report
  • How to create graph in R
