Introduction to PowerBI

Research Education at University Libraries workshops equip researchers with the tools, concepts, and skills needed for every stage of the research lifecycle. The Data Science/GIS workshop series is powered by the GIS and Data Service Center. This workshop series offers introductory to advanced-level skills in GIS, Data Science, and Data Visualization among others.

Power BI is a dynamic business intelligence and data visualization platform that has gained significant popularity across individuals and organizations for making informed decisions based on data insights. It empowers non-technical business users with interactive visualization tools for crafting personalized, KPI-driven reports and simplifying data modeling and sharing processes. This workshop will introduce interactive dashboards and reports and integration of Power BI with different Microsoft tools. The workshop will guide attendees through an immersive, live demonstration of Power BI, highlighting its robust capabilities for interactive data exploration, compelling data visualization, and seamless sharing of insights.
