Workshop Wednesday: Intro to CAD & Fusion 360

Do you want to design your own 3D models? Join us in the John and Stella Graves Makerspace as we collaborate with Terrapin Works to teach you the basics of 3D modeling in Fusion 360! By the end of this workshop, attendees will understand the utility of Fusion 360 and how to navigate the software to use some of the most commonly accessed functions when making a 3D model. Attendees will also learn how to make simple 2D sketches, and how to turn these sketches into 3D models. Together, participants will model a planter in Fusion 360 and take home the model they create!

Space for this workshop is limited, so please be sure to register in advance with your UMD email. Registration is required for this event. As the workshop sessions are timed, please be sure to arrive at the beginning of your registered session to receive all of the workshop content.

Supplies needed: participants must bring a laptop and download Fusion 360 prior to attending. Please view this video for instructions on how to install the free student license for Fusion 360.
