Introduction to ArcGIS

Research Education at University Libraries workshops equip researchers with the tools, concepts, and skills needed for every stage of the research lifecycle.

The Data Science/GIS workshop series is powered by the GIS and Data Service Center, and Research Education at University Libraries. This workshop series offers introductory to advanced-level skills in GIS, Data Science, and Data Visualization, among others.

GIS is a computer-based platform for the storage, visualization, analysis, and interpretation of geographic data to understand spatial relationships, patterns and trends. In this workshop, participants will have an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of GIS, including data types, applications, examples of GIS software, and live demos and hands-on exercises in ArcGIS Pro.
