Live Demo of McKeldin Library Wayfinding Map Application: ArcGIS Indoors

Research Education at University Libraries workshops equip researchers with the tools, concepts, and skills needed for every stage of the research lifecycle.

The McKeldin asset location and wayfinding application is powered by ArcGIS Indoors and is being developed by the Campus Enterprise GIS services group in Facilities Management in partnership with the Libraries’ GIS and Data Service Center.

Join us to experience a cutting-edge indoor mapping application as we showcase real-time location tracking and routing designed to enhance user experience within McKeldin Library. Discover how this technology helps patrons easily locate resources including books, study spaces, and services throughout the building. Whether you're navigating multiple floors or finding a variety of building amenities, the McKeldin wayfinding application provides interactive searchability, routing and navigation. Attendees will have the opportunity to try the system firsthand on the pilot floors (1st, 2nd and 4th) and learn how indoor mapping can improve locational awareness and enhance visitor convenience and accessibility. A user experience survey will be provided to testers and we look forward to your feedback.

Light refreshments will be provided!
