Trash to Treasure: Create Art from 3D Printed Waste

3D printing is an incredible tool for creation and innovation, but the process of FDM 3D printing generates heaps of plastic waste. Join the John & Stella Graves Makerspace during Campus Sustainability Month as we aim to repurpose the Makerspace’s 3D-printed waste into art! During this upcycling workshop, attendees will learn how to minimize 3D-printed waste by adopting eco-friendly practices and discover creative ways to repurpose filament scraps.

Utilizing scraps collected from the JSG Makerspace’s 3D printers, attendees (with guidance from our staff) will have the opportunity to mold 3D printed scraps into coasters. All materials will be provided. No previous 3D printing experience necessary.
