Journal Comics in McKeldin Library
Event box
Learn to draw a brief comic about your day or week.
Creating journal comics can be a meditative, low-pressure creative practice. Join Emil Melia to learn how it's done! People attending the workshop will be given a list of (optional) prompts and shown examples created by Emil ahead of time. Example prompts include:
- Draw each of the meals/snacks you ate today
- Draw your outfit one article of clothing at a time, maybe in the order you put them on
- Draw and transcribe a conversation or interaction you had today
-
Draw one object from each class/activity you attended today
-
Draw the items necessary for a certain routine you practice (e.g. doing makeup/hair, making tea, doing laundry)
-
Draw the things, people, or events that made you happy today
Open to UMD students.
