To kick off our Reference Series, this Foundations workshop will cover the first and most important tool in a librarian's tool kit, the Reference Interview; a collaborative effort in which a library staff member seeks to better understand, refine, and fulfill a patron's information need. Here at the Fearless Teaching Institute, we believe the best learning happens in a community, where learners are able to support one another through the learning process. Although this workshop (like all workshops in our Foundations series) will be targeted at new or emerging librarians and staff, staff members at every rank and level are welcomed and encouraged to attend. 

For RTL librarians, this workshop directly follows the December Research Forum (scheduled 10 AM - 11 AM). Stick around after the meeting for some learning and fellowshipping!
