This workshop will introduce participants to Copyright law as it pertains to musicians, composers, playwrights, dancers, and performers of these works. It will answer questions including:
- What is copyright, and what can be protected?
- How do I obtain copyright protections for my work?
- How do I know if a work is protected under copyright law?
- Can I use or perform a work protected under copyright law? How do I do so ethically?
The workshop will close with an open Q and A session. No prerequisite knowledge needed.
Appropriate for undergraduates, graduate students, and faculty.
