Drop-in with the RTF Directors

Since 2015, the UMD Libraries' Research and Teaching Fellowship (RTF) has prepared MLIS graduate students to be evidence-based library practitioners who view teaching as both central and essential to their work as librarians. The Fellowship provides the education, training, mentorship, and support to enable students to succeed in a competitive job market after graduation, and we are proud to have a 100% job placement rate for all of our alumni. Learn more about the history of our program, eligibility, and FAQ on our RTF program guide. Or view our promotional flyer. Applications for the UMD Libraries’ Research and Teaching Fellowship Class of 2023 are open. November 1, 2021, through November 29, 2021.

Not sure if the Fellowship is right for you? Questions about the application process? Just want to know more? Meet informally with the Fellowship directors on Friday, November 12th, 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM. Sign up here to get the link! This is a drop-in session, feel free to stop by any time in the hour window.
